Paste an obituary, drop in a link, or upload a PDF/photo, and Claude reads it and fills in the people and relationships for you to review. (Runs on the Vercel deployment — see the README.)
Reads the text out of every photo/PDF obituary already attached (that doesn’t have a text copy yet) and saves it as a durable, searchable record.
Reads every saved obituary — including uploaded photos & PDFs and saved links — with Claude, and fills in each person’s exact birth & death date where the obituary states it. Only fills blanks; never changes a date you’ve already entered. (Runs on the Vercel deployment.)
Moves obituary PDFs & photos into their own files on your site (Vercel Blob), so the saved tree stays small and cloud-saves quickly no matter how many you add. New uploads do this automatically. (Needs the Blob store set up.)
Your tree saves automatically in this browser (it holds photos & PDFs — no size limit). Turn on cloud save to also keep a durable, encrypted copy on your own site, so it survives and opens on any device.
This must match the password everyone uses to open the family view. If your cloud copy ever stops opening on other devices, set this and re-save to fix it.
Give this one to family — it opens the tree view-only, and your main password stays private. It's set/updated each time you click Save. Leave blank for no viewer password.
Off — turn on to save a durable copy to your site
Encrypted with your family password before it leaves this browser. Runs on the Vercel site — one-time setup: Storage → Create → Blob. No GitHub needed.
Downloads family-data.js — commit it to publish a password-protected family view.
Optional
Optional: also keep an encrypted copy in the GitHub repo (needs the Vercel site + a GitHub token — see the README). Not required — your browser copy and the downloaded backup already keep your tree safe.
